Reproductive Health Profile of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Women of Rajasthan, India

چکیده

A cross sectional study was conducted among the scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) women of Rajasthan to understand the reproductive health profile. A total of 600 subjects were collected. The age at marriage, age at gauna (second marriage) and age at 1 st conception was found to be relatively higher among SC women as compared to ST women. It was also found that the SC women had relatively better educational status than the ST women and better reproductive health profile as adjudged by contraceptive used, place of child deliveries, antenatal care and consumption of vitamin/iron pills during pregnancy.
